
Project Methodology: A Step-by-Step STE(A)M Approach
Our project follows an integrated, hands-on methodology divided into three interconnected phases that combine science, art, and community dialogue:
Phase 1: Classroom Laboratory & Experimental Setup

Collaborative Action: Students from grades 1 to 6, together with their teachers and parents, participate in a hands-on workshop on designing and building a classroom aquarium.

Interdisciplinary Learning: They research native fish species and explore sound and vibration through engaging, art-based tasks.

Technical Training: Students learn how to operate vibration meters and conduct simple science experiments to measure noise levels within the aquarium, recording the collected data in precise graphs.
Phase 2: Field Investigation & Comparative Analysis

Fieldwork on the Vardar River: The project scales up with field measurements on the Vardar River and nearby water bodies.

Collaborative Science: Working in small groups, students use vibration meters to measure real-world water noise.

Critical Thinking: They compare the classroom baseline results with the river data and engage in deep discussions regarding the environmental implications of urban noise pollution.
Phase 3: Creative Dissemination & Civic Dialogue

Digital Outputs: Students summarize their scientific findings in creative, high-quality digital formats, including digital posters, videos, and short presentations.

Community Event: These findings are presented at a school-wide event involving parents, local authorities, and representatives from eight schools across the municipality.

Final Reflections: The project concludes with in-class reflections combining science, art, and civic dialogue, encouraging students to propose concrete local environmental actions and reflect on their learning journey.
