
WAVES – Aquatic Acoustics, Vibrations and Environmental Sound is an educational project designed for young students to explore the impact of underwater noise pollution in artificial and natural environments. Through creative, hands-on activities, students will build an aquarium in the classroom and use it to simulate and measure acoustic vibrations. They will also conduct field visits to the Vardar River and nearby water bodies in the Skopje region, using a handheld vibration meter to record environmental noise levels. With the support of parents and the local community, students will engage in discussions, awareness-raising campaigns and artistic reflections. The project integrates science, art and civic education, helping children better understand aquatic ecosystems, environmental responsibility and the importance of preserving biodiversity. The results will be shared through digital posters, videos and classroom presentations, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking and innovation from an early age.
